Molex is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving both internal and customer quality objectives, implementing and maintaining quality systems, and monitoring their effectiveness within our processes. You will also develop strategic quality plans to achieve proposed quality targets.

Our team's primary objective is to ensure Quality Control, provide effective Solutions, and drive continuous Improvement for both Products and Processes. As a team, we interact with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, such as: PE/Supervisor/Leader, PM, PLM, RD, PMC, Sourcing, PE, Sales, Marketing, IT, Warehouse and Customer.
What You Will Do
- Achieve internal and customer quality objectives.
- Implement and maintain quality systems and monitor their effectiveness.
- Develop and execute strategic quality plans for areas under the Quality Engineer's scope.
- Coordinate activities of technicians and/or quality auditors to ensure product and process conformity.
- Work with SQA & process engineers to validate, identify, and define special characteristics affecting the process or product.
- Create and implement procedures for the QMS according to Molex policies and keep them updated.
- Evaluate samples and prototypes and participate in product release to mass production.
- Define and identify new parameters according to customer needs.
- Develop inspection and quality control plans for in-process and final audits, as well as shipping audits when appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain the PFMEA.
- Validate non-conforming materials with manufacturing/process engineers.
- Evaluate SPC, UL, CSA, and ESD needs for each specific process and product.
- Create, monitor, and maintain internal discrepancies and quality findings.
- Follow up on customer complaints, organize internal meetings to develop 8D reports, and solve problems.
- Coordinate reworks and inspections for non-conforming materials.
- Participate in quality continuous improvement teams.
- Evaluate process changes, tests, or any other proposed changes.
- Actively participate in system, product, internal, or external audits and follow up on findings.
- Evaluate and analyze discrepant materials (scrap).
- Authority to stop the production line or shipment when safety, product quality, or process integrity is compromised.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Engineering degree or similar.
- Current visa and passport.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality systems through manufacturing floor support.
- Good understanding of ISO9001 / IATF 16946 or other relevant standards.
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Understanding of control plans, FMEA, and quality systems.
- Knowledge of UL and CSA standards.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as 8D and Six Sigma.
- Initiative and motivation to solve problems quickly.
- Experience in production and quality personnel qualification programs.
- High-advanced English proficiency.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills.
- Organizational knowledge and strategic thinking.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge of optical component and subsystem, TL9000 or ISO9001 or ISO14001 internal auditor certificates.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of material properties.
- Good knowledge of 8D, 5W1H,7QC tools, FMEA.
- Good at Agile/RMA System.
