The future CAE Applications Engineer- Structural will support our vision : Deliver robust design solutions and virtual validation, by enabling comprehensive product digital twin capabilities by driving & validating design features related to structural performance on automotive connector applications, using CAE methods/tools.
What You Will Do
- Perform engineering analysis services, predominately with finite element analysis, on short fiber reinforced plastic, Silicone based elastomers, copper alloy-based component systems in a timely manner, through Altair & Abaqus suite of tools.
- Contribution to correlation of high-fidelity CAE simulations to real world performance, recommendations to improve simulation accuracy as needed, development of automation of CAE processes.
- Lead of the engineering analysis services plan for predictive analysis in Europe region and Project co-coordinator for predictive analysis in Europe region between different teams across the globe.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex issues utilizing structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
- Supports in the strategy for test plans (DVP&R) to validate feature performance and analysis of test results using statistical methods.
- Provide technical mentoring in wide variety of engineering topics / tools / processes for assigned Engineers.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience with nonlinear durability FEA applications, across metals, plastics & elastomer type materials.
- Fluent in English and ideally French.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with frequent priority changes.
- Experience with scripting, process automation tools (ISIGHT, Hyper study, Mode Frontier etc.) to automate CAE workflow & building regression models on nonlinear engineering applications.
- Customer service skills that demonstrate the ability to respond to user problems with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of CAD systems (UG NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)
