Plating engineers have a broad understanding of the processes, equipment and elemental technologies (electrical, chemical) related to continuous plating using hoop plating equipment, primarily for ultra-small connectors, and will prioritize workplace safety management while realizing process management that ensures stable quality, resolving problems, identifying potential issues and promoting improvements.

Our Team
Molex Japan Shizuoka Plant ME organization is a development team that is responsible for everything from new product development to mass production. It develops and launches press, plating, molding, and automatic assembly machines. We realize ultra-fine connectors, and provide customers with cutting-edge connectors using our advanced technology.
What You Will Do
[Workplace safety management]
• Risk prediction and safety assurance for chemicals and equipment handled
• Risk identification and countermeasures
[Process management that ensures stable quality]
• Thorough management to maintain the quality of plating equipment, ancillary facilities, etc.
• Maintenance and management of plating baths and plating conditions
• Performance evaluation during new product trials and setting of mass production conditions
• Quality assurance through a combination of process management, image inspection, and process inspection
[Handling abnormalities]
• Identifying the cause and taking action when an abnormality occurs, and establishing measures to prevent recurrence
• Evaluating fixtures when prototyping new products
• Extracting potential problems and carrying out kaizen activities
[Improve productivity]
• Always analyze the current situation and extract and propose improvements to improve productivity.
[Process design and plating jig design]
• Design and drawing of plating jigs and parts
• Process design (specification design) for plating lines
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in hoop Au plating manufacturing management and manufacturing technology
• Knowledge of plating work environment and chemicals (person responsible for handling toxic and hazardous substances, etc.)
• Drafting (CAD)
• Knowledge of measuring equipment for plating evaluation (fluorescent X-ray film thickness gauge, SEM-EDX, etc.)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Technical knowledge of electroplating of micro connectors.
- Successful experience in technology and advanced technology in the connector or electronic component field.
- Business experience with overseas technology manufacturing divisions.
