Your Job
Responsible for developing products and their strategies and profitability. This includes:
- Collecting VOC to define future market needs to develop the products
- Planning financial metrics and ensuring meet project financial target
- Initiate project and plan high-level schedule & milestones, and lead the project while aligning internal stakeholders.
- Owner of economic study and business opportunities to ensure business pipeline meets profit targets
- Responsible for meeting both revenue and profit targets for assigned new product families
The product manager is directly responsible for developing and driving business pipeline globally. This includes:
- Developing and executing marketing strategies and promotion of product families
- Handing new products’ inquiries and executing with internal stakeholders

What You Will Do
This person will report directly to the product line group manager and work within the levels of authority established and the products assigned. Supervision and guidance will be interactive and provided as needed. This person will be accountable for the following numeric metrics:
- Revenue
- Profitability, NPV, IRR,
- Opportunity Pipeline value,
- Breadth of accountability: Global accountability for product development/assigned product families;
- The job is tactical as well as strategic. Routinely establishing pricing and responding to technical requests while strategically evaluating opportunities and markets;
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in related area
- 5+ years’ combined experience in electronic component/device manufacturing industry,
- Fluent or understanding detailed engineering topic in Japanese and business English both written and verbal.
- Eager to learn attitude towards both engineering and financial areas,
- Taking initiative in leading the project, and in solving problems,
- Proven track record in bringing new products to market and realizing the target profit levels,
- Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations,
- Technical knowledge and ability to identify customers functional requirements and map to Molex design and manufacturing expertise,
- Presentation skills that show the ability to prepare and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel,
- Must be sensitive to the customer’s needs and show a sense of urgency to address customer issues.
