Work in close coordination with the Regional Sales and Cross Functional Teams to define and execute the business development strategy of Vehicle Antenna System (VAS) Segment to expand our market presence and increase sales in throughout the AP region.
Responsible for business development in region, product portfolio management, technical roadmap configuration which aligns with market and technological trends, and also responsible of driving improvement plans externally with customer and internally with the plants to improve profitability.
Essential Functions:
- Execute the vision, roadmap and strategy for CMS VAS segment in region.
- Develop sound point of views on technology, product, customers, competitors and market trends and action them into strategies aligned for customer, product line and profit growth in China market.
- Interface with global business development and product management in defining and executing sustainable growth strategy, engineering capability leverage and manufacturing footprint for CMS VAS product portfolio.
- Lead the product lifecycle and portfolio management activities for CMS VAS segment in China market according to Molex process.
- Work interactively with Molex management, global product managers, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and sales to foster a highly responsive team environment dedicated to providing customer specific solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner for China market.
- Lead the cross functional team through the Customer Quotation process to ensure offers are assembled on time with data integrity and high accuracy. Be able to challenge the inputs to drive improvement and accountability of the team.
- Responsible for regional business development activities through daily collaboration with sales, engineering, and manufacturing facilities.
- Drive and lead initiatives of process improvements, efficiencies, cost improvement and best practice knowledge sharing across a matrix organization and multiple manufacturing plants.
- Selling by demonstrating the value and benefits of our solutions, tailored to a customer’s requirements. Preparing and presenting proposals and proof-of-concepts, both in person and through digital interactions.
- Develop an understanding of target customer and prospect profiles, applications, needs, problems, and their expectations, whilst also being aware of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) and the current state of the business in the assigned region.
- Track trends and dependencies in the industry/market segments that impact primary sources of sales/revenues in the assigned region. Identify and monitor competitor presence, and their developments/position, in the assigned region and target accounts.
- Align VAS Segment Management with customer expectations, to strategically develop and publish a Product Roadmap, which meets customer expectations and user requirements.
- Market intelligence gathering to guide strategic decision making by the management team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business education with a proven track record of success. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of industry experience in engineering or technical business development for Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
- Experience in the Chinese Automotive Market is a must, experience with startups is preferred.
- Technical understanding of vehicle electrical architecture in the transportation industry.
- Knowledge and experience in automotive antenna system is preferred.
- Capacity to develop sound points of views on technology, product, customers, competitors and market trends and action them into strategies for growth in AP market.
- Product lifecycle and portfolio management including driving idea to market/product, process improvements, efficiencies by leading multi functions.
- Working experience in a global, diversity and multiple national groups is preferred.
- Ability to travel to coordinate global and regional programs deployment.

- Interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Product lifecycle management skills (as GCA, SAP, Vendavo…) – what is this?
- Willingness to embrace a challenge process by raising ideas, solutions, and issues within the global organization.
- Leadership and management skills is mandatory.
- Technical knowledge and skills as CAD, CATIA is preferred.
· Fluent in Chinese and English.
