Tax Manager

Our Team
This is an advisory role based in the Koch EMEA tax department. The Tax Manager is a member of a close-knit team of 10-20 people who handle tax for Koch’s entities across the region. Koch is based in the City of London and offers hybrid working of minimum 3 days in the office.
What You Will Do
• Provide international tax advice on current and new jurisdictions, leading on any projects related to improving the tax strategy across the group.
• Manage relationships and acting as the main point of contact selected Koch business groups.
• Support the tax team on complex tax issues.
• Partner with other tax capabilities (e.g. controversy, compliance, tax transformation, US international) to manage the entire lifecycle of tax.
• Develop point of view on how tax legislation is affecting key tax positions, and identify action items.
• Manage and deliver on identified projects.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified, or equivalent.
• Three or more years post qualification experience including experience in international tax.
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate complex issues and solutions to people across all levels of the organization.
• Proactive and the ability to self-motivate, with minimal supervision from management.
• Understanding of financial reporting and GAAP principles.
• Good aptitude for project management.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills – ability to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience of working in either a big 4 tax team or in a large in-house tax team
• ADIT or similar qualification
• Other languages in addition to English
