Koch Capabilities (KCC) is seeking a motivated and self-driven Senior Accountant with strong accounting and communication skills to join our Specialized Accounting team and leveraged capability! This role will help transform and support processes for intercompany loans, transactions, and restructurings. The role may also be involved in other specialized accounting areas. This role can be based at our Corporate Office locations in Wichita, KS, Auburn Hills, MI or Lisle, IL.
Our Team
The Koch accounting leveraged capability group works across Koch businesses to develop standard processes and leverage technology to solve complex problems for our Finance Organization.
What You Will Do
- Support month-end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner, ensure compliance with company policies, and meet closing deadlines.
- Perform accounting responsibilities in compliance with financial, regulatory, and Koch
- accounting policies and guidelines.
- Build relationships and collaborate with Accounting and Finance resources both inside Koch Capabilities and across the broader Koch Industries enterprise.
- Support financial reporting to stakeholders in tax, consolidations, and finance.
- Collaborate on projects to standardize processes across Koch businesses.
- Be an example of and proponent for Principle Based Management within the leveraged capability accounting team.
- Apply appropriate internal controls in a changing business transformational environment.
- Work with external auditors and support annual audit process.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working in an accounting or financial role utilizing related principles, controls, and processes.
- Experience communicating accounting information and concepts.
- Experience collaborating and building relationships with business partners across various departments to improve processes and solve problems.
- Skills in written communication and document review with a keen attention to financial values, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- ERPs and other consolidation tools (i.e FSM, SAP, and OneStream) experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and utilizing logical and lookup formulas, pivots, and formatting
What Will Put You Ahead
- Understanding of Koch Capabilities and the Businesses they serve or experience supporting a large company.
- Ability to develop critical partnerships and drive mutually beneficial results.
- Corporate Accounting or Financial Reporting experience, especially as it relates to managing intercompany loan portfolios, consolidations, and other complex accounting topics.
- Experience with Kyriba.
- Effective communication skills to present and tailor message to audience.
- Enthusiasm to collaborate and build effective working relationships across departments and companies.
- A growth mindset and ability to implement processes and drive change.
